A U.S. Navy veteran, I served in the Atlantic Submarine Force from 1981–1987, and earned three Naval Letters of Commendation for outstanding performance. Following my service, I worked as a contract analyst at the Naval Sea Systems Command supporting the Pentagon. In the private sector, I became a divisional vice president, leading large teams and oversight for the corresponding budgets up to $500MM.
