While some of the following achievements were by unanimous vote, not all were, which is a sign of a healthy and independent-minded council. Working together with City staff, Planning & Zoning, County Commissioners, and engaged citizens, our council accomplished:

 - Purchased the new City Hall at one-third the cost of new construction

 - Along with with FISD and Gillespie County Commissioners, maintained no commercial or residential property tax increases in 2024.

 - Brought the City Charter into compliance with State Law

 - Partnered with the Texas Historical Commission to preserve and restore Fort Martin Scott

 - Advanced the First Responders Housing Initiative

 - Partnered to develop new soccer fields for local youth

 - Defended city property and ensured accountability with public funds

 - Voted against unchecked development

 - Improved HOT award guidelines for fairness and transparency

 - Supported outreach and transparency initiatives from the City Manager’s office

 - Established the first City Council appreciation breakfast for City employees

 - Advanced an ordinance limiting vape shops near schools and churches to protect our youth
